Well, the gardens are slowing way down due to the hot weather, lack of rain, and shorter days. The pantry and freezers are full. We are battling the deer in the garden right now but don't want to scare them too much as we also depend on them for some winter meat. The goats are about dry and getting ready for fall . I always have lots of milk frozen up to keep me in soap making during the winter months.
The Farmers Market (Bentonville, AR), runs through October 28th, so we still have several markets left this year. It's so much fun to visit with all the tourists who come by. I enjoy seeing my regulars return to stock up until their next visit. I am already trying to come up with new items for next year's market and store.
I am starting to tinker with my new floor loom, toying with the idea of adding rugs and shawls, and my sewing machine has been busy making caps, kids clothes, table runners, etc. So, you never know what new categories could show up in Cooper Ridge Country Store! I will keep you all up to date on any new additions! You can read about them by following my Facebook page, or sign up (at bottom of CONTEST page), to get on my email list.
